If you love a great button up, but are intimidated to sew them, this workshop is for you! In three class sessions, you will be making a button up shirt. This is a great skill building garment where you'll lean new techniques as you sew a classic shirt. You can choose from Closet Core Patterns Jenna Pattern or Simplicity 1544 for a men's shirt pattern.  Let us know at checkout which pattern you prefer!

Session 1 - Wednesday, July 18th, 6-8pm you will meet Nikki your instructor who will review the pattern with you and help choose your size and view to make. You'll cut out your pattern and fabric for homework, so be sure you'll have time to do that before the first sewing session on Saturday, July 20th, 11-3pm. You might have a bit of homework in between and then you'll continue and finish your shirt on Sunday, July 21st 11-3pm.

You will collect your pattern at the first class and cut out for homework.

Skills you will learn:

  • sewing a button placket
  • sewing a shirt collar
  • sewing cuffs
  • sewing buttons & buttonholes
  • sewing on a pocket(s)

This is an intermediate class. Please be sure you have the equivalent amount of experience up to a level 2 class.
