Mitchell Trousers – Four-Part Intermediate Pants Series

Ready to make a truly special pair of handmade pants? In this intermediate class, we’ll be making the Mitchell Trousers by Closet Core Patterns — a high-waisted trouser with a beautiful wide-leg silhouette, fly front zipper, hidden waistband facing, and unique angled front pockets built into deep front pleats.

This is a great class if you’ve sewn a few garments and are ready to build your pants-making skills. The Mitchell Trousers are stylish, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details that will help you grow as a garment sewist.

We’re listing this as an intermediate class because trousers involve more detailed construction, including fitting, a fly front zipper, pleats, pockets, waistband finishing. We’ll walk through the process step by step so you can build confidence with each part of the project.

Skills You'll Learn:

How to take measurements and choose your size

How to sew and construct trousers

How to sew pleats

How to sew angled front pockets

How to sew a fly front zipper
